Another possibility of the Mecha Sally arc. Is this Flynn's personal insult to Sally?
In the Archie Sonic universe, Metal Sonics are just worthless robots that Eggman cranks out.
Roboticizing Sally and turning her into a Metal Sally, and being treated like a Metal Sonic, is calling her worthless.
This is not far-fetched considering Amy being shoved into the spotlight and all the SonAmy hints while this is happening.
honestly, with ian around i dont understand how childern and other websites give them so much credit.i think we fans can improve a shitton more than ian.
I have to agree with you on the Sonamy innuendos. They're kinda dumb. It makes people say "Okay, Sally's gone. Now Amy can make her move. Yay!" and why is Amy still obsessing over Sonic's relationship? Why doesn't she undestand anymore that Sonic loves Sally like in issue 222? If you say that she does, she doesn't. When Sonic picks Amy up and carries her away, at one point she shows a heart emote. She's happy to be in Sonic's arms, not worried about Sally at all.
Saying nothing about Amy, mah home-hog though. It's just those Sonamy innuendos are reeeeeeally out of plave!

Seriously, you'd think grown up peeple like you would have better things to with your time then whine endlessly about fictional characters in a kids comic book and how it doesn't follow your narrow view point of how it should be done.
I think everyone here is overreacting. Just because Sally's roboticized doesn't mean Ian hates her. If that's so, I say Penders and Bollers hated her even more due to the amount of crap they put her through.
Seriously, talk about ungrateful. Even if Sally wasn't roboticized, you'd still be complaining. She's already pointless enough being in the comic as it is. What do you want exactly? A character that remains normal throughout the series, or an interesting plot that keeps you at the end of your seat? Personally, I prefer the latter.
You know, looking back now, maybe Sally should've died back in "Endgame". That way, she she wouldn't have any part in this madess. She'd be better off that way.

Sonamy hints?!
I totally don't understand Flynn!! *yes i'm a sonamy fan but i don't understand why he is doing all this first with Sonic and Sally (i thought he liked that thing)*

Yes, he does. He worshipped it at some point as I've heard, telling his opinion with Sonic and Sally and Sonic and Amy. Kept saying that Sonic and Sally's maturity are in the way of their relationship in the con part. He kept saying Sonic and Amy are "unstoppable" in the pro section and the only negative point he told was that "his hands are tied" and SEGA says no, even though Sonamy has a lot of flaws that prevent Sonic from hooking up with her. I think it proves that Flynn wants Sonamy to be canon and not SonSal.
I don't know for sure if it's a personal insult or not. I feel it is, but that is only a guess on my part.
What I do know is, Ian does not like Sally or cares for her at all.
If he did, we wouldn't have this overblown story of her getting blasted with a turret and then sickeningly weaponized by Eggman for more nauseating shockvalue.
You don't do this kind of stuff to characters you're fond of. Quite the opposite actually.
That's why to this day I believe he's never liked Sally, but he does like Bunnie, as well as Fiona and Amy, especially after reading what roles he gave them in Other-M.
I don't think it was a mere coincidence Flynn went the easiest on Bunnie when it came to physical trauma.
Yes, she was subjected to emotional trauma of seeing Antoine getting blown up, but even Sonic's been subjected to that kind of treatment as well when it came to his father.
Even Fiona, with all the evil she's done, the worst Flynn did to her was have Sally punch her in the gut.
Yea, prejudice much, Ian?

I stopped reading the comics because of Ian Flynn. If a new writer comes along, he/she should explain Ian's shenagains in the comic by saying it's all a bad dream Sonic is having due to a fever or coma or something like that.
If that newer writer did exactly that, he'd be even worse. Having everything reset simply by establishing it all to be a dream would be the worst case of a plot convenience ever seen.
None of what Ian writes is even to somewhat be conidered canon to me anymore...=/ NONE of it. I'll ptemd it's all a hit spewed dream by Sonic.
The biggest insult Ian wrote to me when I wrote to him about the flaws he made in the comic is when he said "SatAM is dead".
Yeah, THIS is coming from a guy who: A: Robotized Sally after the robotizing of anyone went out of style years ago, after Robotnik's demise, B: Decided to have Ixis as king, C: wipeout Knothole for his personal game and D: Is STILL using Rotor in the comics when three of the four SatAM characters are out of commission for a while.
This is Ian's BIGGEST mistake to have ever said that sentence.
In the first place, Dr.Eggman NEVER needed the use of robotizing when he had his army of robots and battle bots, that's Robotnik's department. True, Eggman wants to take control of everything, but when has he EVER decided "I think I'll turn have of the Earthlings into mindless robots, so I can continue with my plans while they do all the work!"? It's pathetic.
There's LOTS of loopholes and plot twists that he's written in that's STILL confusing, like what's going to happen to the other characters we love. So far, he has NO explaination on what happened to Bunnie, no say on when Sally will get her free will back, or turn back to organic form (Or even WHY he had Eggman add an upgraded type Power Ring in Sally, when we all know it'll just give Sally her free will back, or why Ian had it changed so that the ring acted like a 'battery'.), why half of the characters acted like jerks and later on acted as if nothing happened (Cough, Sonic, cough!), or even how any of the story arc so far would make sense. Heck, there's STILL no answer as to WHO the traitor of the arc IS!!
Oh and don't get me started about "Sally's new look when she's back to normal"! If I find out that she's getting a new look the moment she's been derobotized, I HOPE Ian has a VERY good explaination as to why Sally SUDDENLY went Cinderella and "Magically" had a new outfit on when all she wore was her vest and boots!
Ian ALSO mentioned, when I asked if Nicole's computer would ever be fixed, that "It's been broken since issue 230 and would never be fixed". Uh, hello? We all know who made Nicole in the first place: Rotor. Even what Ian said MAY BE true, Rotor's STILL gonna fix the computer up. He has the knowledge in robotics and mechanics, not to mention computer skills, so what's stopping him from creating a new handheld computer for Nicole? Ian and the people at Sega apparently.
Speaking of dos and dont's, anyone STILL wondering how Ixis managed to turn Bunnie's limbs back to organic form when 1: Her limbs were replaced with upgraded ones and 2: Bunnie was told that chances of her being derobotized are slim to none, due to the fact her robotic limbs were replaced? Again, that would be Ian's doing. Why? Dunno, but he'd never answer it. I HOPE they don't plan to have Bunnie Legionized, just to have her cybernetic limbs back. THAT would be REALLY hard on fans like us. My guess is that her limbs would return to robotic form, ala the scene from the SatAM cartoon, when she had organic limbs for awhile.
If Ben was alive and read the comics, he would've chewed Ian and Sega out!!

Yeah! I said "So says a loyal fan of the SatAM version of the comics since the 90's! " when I left a comment on his page.
But he said
"I'm sorry, but SatAM is dead. It's been dead for seventeen years. It's not coming back, and it doesn't hold sway over the book or the franchise anymore. Certain characters and themes endure from it, sure, but the show has long since passed."

Because he wants to write the comic and make it like his crappy Other M comic, which he managed to have an arc about in the Sonic Universe comic.
...
Is anyone caring about what Flynn does anymore? I'm just taking it that he's a worthless writer who really shouldn't have ever entered Archie Sonic Comics. I don't really hold any real regard for the things he does.
